Oral Presentation

  • Each oral presentation has 20 minutes, i.e., i.e., 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.
  • Each lecture style session room will be set with an LCD projector, a microphone, a laser pointer, and laptop computer running PowerPoint under MS Windows, equipped with USB port.
  • Bring a USB memory with your PDF/PowerPoint presentation file and make sure that your file is copied on the laptop computer in the session room.
  • Please show up 15 minutes before the actual session starts, introduce yourself to the session chair and sign on the session report to show that you presented your paper.
  • If you attend and present your paper virtually, we will email instructions on how to connect well before the presentation date.

Interactive (Poster) presentation (optional)

  • All papers will be presented orally. And poster is optional.
  • Posters must be designed to fit a 90cm wide x 130cm tall board. Posters may be prepared as a single poster or as several smaller sections mounted together. The heading of the poster should list the paper title, author(s) name(s), and affiliation(s).
  • Please show up 15 minutes before the actual session starts, introduce yourself to the session chair and sign on the session report to show that you presented your paper.


The final paper submission deadline is 23:59 (JST): November 9, 2020. In order for your paper to be successfully included in the NICS 2020 conference proceeding, it is required that you strictly follow the following instructions:

Step 1: Register and make payment for your paper in EDAS system with the registration fees available at

Step 2: Final paper revision

  1. Revise your paper according to the reviewers’ comments.
  2. Make sure your paper using IEEE conference paper template. See Submission Guidelines at for detailed instruction.
  3. Proofread your paper and check its layout (NO page numbered, NO footnotes, NO headers)

Step 3 : Final manuscript submission

  1. Select paper presenter(s)
  2. Make the paper registration on EDAS (You need to make the payment before paper can be uploaded)
  3. Upload your final (IEEE Xplore compliant) manuscript to EDAS. Please make sure all details in EDAS especially Abstract and list of Authors are consistent with the final paper since details in EDAS will be used for conference proceedings.
  4. Submit IEEE Copyright Form by going to “My Papers” tab in EDAS and clicking on the ‘(c)’ icon under the column “Copyright Form” where their paper is located. It will guide you through step-by-step.

Please note that failure to follow the above instructions may result in your paper to be excluded from the conference proceedings.

IEEE has a strict policy on No-Show. One of the authors or their representatives need to present the paper at the event. Failure to do so without valid reasons will risk the paper from being included in the IEEE Xplore database.

IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., by not including it in IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

The conference organisers suggest that if an author is unable to present the paper at the conference in person, a substitute presenter should be arranged (for example, a colleague who will attend the conference).

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarised material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and IEEE will take action against any author who has engaged in either practice.
